Thank you for your thoughtful coverage of this critical issue! I do think the statement in Carson represents a line some are wary of crossing. Also, the implication that states could shut down or tighten their charter systems—which are valuable even when secular—to prevent religious charters may have worried some.

Do you have a sense of where the next case on this issue might come from? Is there another state with a religious charter school analogous to St. Isidore (the school that prompted this case)?
